Day 1 — Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia 


Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, where our staff will meet you for the transfer to our hotel, located within walking distance of Sukhbaatar Square, museums and shops. Following a full orientation with your fellow travelers and your guides, enjoy a Mongolian feast at a traditional restaurant.

Day 2 — Ulaanbaatar


  • Following breakfast (at 9:00 am)this morning, we explore Gandan monastery (11:00AM)and the National Museum of Mongolia to learn about the rich cultures and traditions of Mongolia.
  • After lunch(at 1:30pm), there is free time to shop or explore on your own. This evening we will enjoy a magnificent National Dance Ensemble performance(at 16pm) including the haunting sounds of khoomii, traditional throat singing, before dinner together in town.

Day 3— Kharkhorin/Bulgan Sum


  • (7:00AM)tea/coffee available.
  • (8:00АМ) breakfast and bags out. 

Venture into Erdene Zhu monastery, built in the 16th century. One of the largest monasteries in Mongolia, Erdene Zhu has been a place of Buddhist activity for more than 400 years. (11:00)His schedule permitting, enjoy a rare chance to meet Erdensuu, the head lama, who will talk to us about the Spirit of the Horse and Mongolia’s Buddhist renaissance. After early lunch (1:00pm)before continuing our bus journey on to Tsetserleg,”Garden City”,ringed by stone mountains,forest lined streets with temple overlooking town.We stop for stretching legs in Tsetserleg before continuing the final 42km to Lapis sky camp nestled in the Bunkhan valley.introductions by staff with offering to peacefull and wrathful ancestors. Check into gers and settle.

Day 4 — Bulgan Sum


  • 7am: Hot water,tea coffee,juice available.
  • 8:15-9:15 Optional early morning yoga class with yoga teacher.Optional early morning walk. Possible visit our neighbors during milking time their animals and watching nomads’ morning routine.Available take good photo shots.
  • 9:30-10:30 breakfast
  • 11:30-01:00 Intro to horse+ riding around camp After an introduction to the horse, brush up on your horseback-riding skills and go for a warm-up ride in the valley of Teel. Visit with a nomad family and experience their way of life

firsthand.Following lunch(01:30),explore,fish,bathe.

  • 4:00-6:00 Weather permitting,late afternoon horseride or go out with experienced fisherman on the Tamir river. 07:00 Sky cloud bar opens.

Day 5— Begin Horse Trek/Tolgoin Butts


  • 7:00. Hot water,coffee, tea, juice available

  • 10:30-12:00 optional horseriding
  • 12:30 packing
  • 01:30 lunch
  • 3:30-departure to Tolgoin buuts

Saddle up this morning and set out on horseback across the sweeping steppe. We’ll ride about three hours to Tolgoin Butts and camp in a lovely meadow setting. (9 miles horse riding, 3 hours) 

(Non-riders can go by jeeps.Toroo will take them and if they want they will go fishing with him in different interesting way which they explore beautifull nature view.After fishing they will meet others at Tolgoin Buuts) 6:00 Arrive Tolgoin Buuts. Before dinner(07:00), Shaman. Dinner 8:30

Day 6— Mandal Mountain

  • 2:30 depature for Mandal mountain.

 

The second day of our horse trek is an invigorating five-hour ride over spectacular mountain passes and past Buddhist ovoos, ceremonial cairns often set in high places. In the afternoon(5:00), we’ll camp at the base of Mandal Mountain, a sacred place for the Mongols. (12 miles horse riding, 5 hours)6:00-8:00 free time:fishing,photography,journal writing. 8:30 Bonfire and

Mongolian BBQ.

Day 7 End Horse Trek/Bulgan Sum

Ride back across the steppe to Bulgan Sum today, or, if you wish, return by jeep.(21milesoptional riding ,4 hours).Lunch 2:00. 3:30-6:30 free time. Settle into your gers at Lapis Sky camp and enjoy time to relax and refresh this afternoon before gathering for a hearty dinner in our dining ger. Folk concert with traditional morin huur players.

Day 8 Local Naadam Festival

  • 12:00 departure for Naadam
  • 2:00 lunch

Today, we take part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a local Naadam festival nearby our camp. Naadam takes place every summer throughout Mongolia, pitting men and boys against each other in age-old contests of manliness and physical prowess. Young men train all year to compete in the three events: bareback horse racing, wrestling, and archery. Witness the excitement close-up, taking photographs in the middle of the action and even trying out some of the sports after the competition.   Sit around the bonfire at camp, listen to horsemen singing. 8:00pmFarewell dinner (tips)

Day 9— Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Ulaanbaatar, arriving in the early evening. We will stop along the way for lunch. After checking back into our hotel, we will gather for a farewell dinner at a restaurant in town.
